Fanda Yang University of Minnesota Student Senate Vice Chair My name is Fanda Yang. I am a PhD student in Applied Economics and the vice chair of the University of Minnesota Student Senate for 2016-17. My goal for this year as the vice chair is to revitalize the Student Senate as a whole. Particularly I am passionate about establishing a strong Student Senate identity, strengthening ties with collegiate administrations, and providing more leadership opportunities to our senators. I believe the collective wisdom of all 60 senators with their active participation in our shared governance system would fully reach the Student Senate’s consultative potential for the benefit of not just individual senators but the 60,000-strong student body and the University of Minnesota system.

This site is dedicated to my work in university's shared governance system.
